About Our Founders

Before becoming a pastor, Ayub worked as a craftsman. When he married Shahnaz, he was Catholic, while his wife had been baptized and belonged to a Protestant church. Through his wife and mother-in-law, Ayub was also baptized. He later described receiving the Holy Spirit and becoming a regular member of the church.

Ayub recalls feeling called by God to preach the Gospel throughout the world. The verse he associates with this calling is Mark 16:15, in which Jesus tells His followers to go into all the world and preach the Gospel to all creation. At first, Ayub continued his own work, concerned about the challenges of ministry and supporting his family in Pakistan.

According to Ayub’s testimony, he experienced a serious accident that completely broke a bone in his leg. He says that he was healed three days later, but continued working in business because he worried about providing for his children’s education.

He later experienced paralysis in his right arm. In his account, he prayed and promised to dedicate himself to Jesus’ work if he was healed. He says his arm recovered within fifteen minutes. After returning to business for a time because of financial concerns, he experienced heart pain and again felt called to ministry.

Ayub ultimately left his business and committed himself to full-time ministry. He began holding monthly healing crusades throughout Pakistan. This journey became part of the story of Bishop Ayub Masih, Jesus Victory Pentecostal Ministries, and God Stands TV.
